Monarch Butterflies Tour

Although not as spectacular as the migration of the monarch butterflies, our trip to the butterfly sanctuary is much more pleasant. We leave Guadalajara at night on a first-class highway coach, equipped with air conditioning, washrooms, televisions, a refrigerator, and snacks. We spend the next two nights at the luxurious Hotel Aranzazu Acueducto, just four blocks from the Historic Centre of Morelia, Michoacan. Bilingual guides escort us around P?tzcuaro, the picturesque historical site of Vasco de Quiroga's Utopia. We also tour the island town of Janitzio, as well as the lakeside village Quiroga. The highlight of the trip is the Santuario de la Mariposa Monarca El Rosario, where you will see thousands of the regal monarch butterflies.
