Teaching English to Children Course

Educational institutions around the world are beginning to recognize the importance of English language instruction in the elementary classroom and require teachers of English as a Foriegn Language with special skills for working with children.

TEC Course Objective:

To provide teachers with the special skills necessary for Teaching English to Children. It is designed to be taken after completion of the TEFL Certificate Program.

TEC Course content includes:

Teaching first-language learners
Creative activities for children
Classroom management
Positive discipline
Classroom observations

TEC Course Prerequisites:

TEFL Certificate Program, or previous TEFL certification or experience.

TEC Course Duration:

2-week, course for a total of 40 hours of instruction and observation time.

This course can be combined with the TBE elective (Teaching Business English) and/or the Spanish Language classes.

TEFL electives are not offered every session. When planning your studies, please refer to the School Program Calendar for elective start dates.
