The TOEFL Test

The TOEFL test evaluates the English proficiency of people who speak English as a second language. TOEFL test scores are required for admission to 2,400 colleges and universities in the United States and Mexico. The TOEFL test is also used by colleges and universities in other countries. Government agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English language proficiency.

TOEFL Scores

Some students think it is very difficult to achieve a TOEFL score that is high enough for admission to a good university or college. Actually, any good students can achieve acceptable TOEFL scores with suitable preparation for the test.

TOEFL Preparation Program in Mexico

VLC's TOEFL Preparation Program is ideal for students who wish to enter the university system in Mexico or the United States. We prepare students for the TOEFL test quickly and efficiently. Our extensive computer labs will familiarize you with computer-based TOEFL testing, to ensure you are prepared for the TOEFL test on computers. Our Resource Development Team constantly prepares and purchases new resources, to ensure our students have the latest TOEFL preparation software and textbooks.

The VLC TOEFL Preparation Program includes 4 levels. New students are placed in appropriate levels when they begin. Level adjustments are made every 4 weeks. Part-time students may join the TOEFL Preparation Program in either the morning or the afternoon. Most TOEFL students, however, are in full-time programs. Students may study as many weeks as they like. TOEFL preparation courses include: Listening Comprehension, Structure, Reading Comprehension, and Writing.

Pre-TOEFL Preparation

Students review basic grammar, build vocabulary and develop reading and listening skills. Students also do some practice TOEFL tests.

Intermediate TOEFL Preparation

Students learn TOEFL test strategies while enhancing their reading, writing and grammar skills. Students also do practice TOEFL tests.

Advanced TOEFL Preparation

Although the content is similar to Intermediate TOEFL, it is more advanced. Material studied in Intermediate TOEFL is not repeated in Advanced TOEFL.

Super TOEFL

Emphasis is on developing Computer Based Test (CBT) strategies. Students also enhance their vocabulary and writing skills. Much of the time is in the computer lab.
