Business English in Canada

The Business English courses help people who need English in their work. Language skills are developed through many stimulating, realistic communicative activities. This course is suitable for a broad range of advanced students. Students may remain in the program for 2 to 12 weeks. There are approximately 6 hours of classes each day. Most students integrate Business English courses into a full time program.
Marketing
Study the key concepts and vocabulary used in marketing. Case studies are used. Discussion topics include:
marketing strategies and entrepreneurship.

Study the key concepts and vocabulary used in the global economy. Discussion topics include: international trade, import/export, investing, and the stock and bond markets.

Business Internship (BINT)
Learn on-the-job communication skills which include:
program policies and procedures, North American business culture, workplace etiquette and communication strategies, and writing reports, letters, and memos.

Grammar for Business Purposes
Enhance your grammar skills while learning business terms and discussing business-related issues.
Terms: 4 weeks
Prerequisite: VEC Level 5A
New Economy in British Columbia
Economic concepts and vocabulary in an overview of the new economy in British Columbia. Discussion topics include: Tourism, Film and Television, Hospitality, and Information Technology.

Public Speaking
Learn how to plan and deliver speeches and presentations.
